Well, this was a video I didn't think I'd have to film! After 153,000 views, more than 1000 comments and dozens of email and DMs, I decided to share the result of the audio test in last weeks video. The comments section was almost a perfect split between people choosing A or B, with a minority sharing that they couldn't tell which one was high-passed. While I had everyone focussed on A or B, th...

Hello sir, I saw Your videos and that was Very Nice.. Could You Please teach a Advance Vocal Processing Technic with FL Studio Stock Plugins...If You Show Me How To Do Advance Vocal Processing That Will be very nice for me.. Thank You Sir.
Straight forward, direct and to the point, in plain English, non-repetitive, loud and clear instruction and explanation on exactly what the video title says. That shouldn’t be as rare as it is. I’m glad I found this channel today.
Thorough as usual. When you go to an audiologist (to get earplug impressions made) you can also have this bone conduction test and a bunch more done. Anyone serious about a life with music should do this at least once to baseline their hearing, and learn about hearing protection that works for your lifestyle. Good luck all.
how are these versus the Shokz brand?
20:15 “‘Wet’ means the completely processed signal, ‘dry’ means the original signal…[You guys] probably already knew that..sorry, but umm…” No sir, the suffix of that statement was entirely erroneous 👉 I had absolutely no idea what Wet/Dry meant and have been meaning to Google it for eons! Moreover 👉 I record vocals with effects all the time in Garage Band and Logic (embarrassingly enough yes), but I never knew! So thank you Good Sir! You are educating us novices in such a profound way! Do not ever apologize for we appreciate you so… 🎤🌻🦋🌷🎤

That deserves a round of applause tbh. Fair play for the gifts as well that was a nice touch.

Would you recommend for home studio, the m50x, the m40x or the beyerdynamic dt 240 pro? I have the budget for the three, but I want the best of those

Two uses for this tool that come to my mind right away are generating ideas for modulation (not sure if the plugin can handle modulations though), and much more useful: quickly generating chord progressions for practicing either melody writing or orchestration - focused practice gives the best results usually, so a tool that saves time on things that are not inherent to given practice is a nice thing. Also, having generated progressions means more variety, since people tend to unconsciously use the same patterns over and over.

Clip on headphones(I like panasonic rphz47) are a cheap alternative that are more ergonomic/less sound fatigue for like $15 if you dont have $100+ for music
They don’t allow you to hear the world around you though. I have tried those and they fall right off my ears.
1:43 will smith and barack obama took offense to that.
The headphone fatigue is real. I’ve created some good mixes, using two sets, one open, one closed. But everything you say is so true. I did a lot of bouncing to then check on portable speakers, car speakers etc in order to be sure things weren’t lost or overpowering. I finally got a set of monitors, and literally will start using them today. New sub

Which is best for Vaporwave music, please? Cubase or FL? Thanks!

I was using bone conduction headphones while in the army toom any years ago... this technology is not new to me at all 😂😂😂. you're description is excelent, by the way.
I think you failed to emphasize one very important point for these considering what your channel is about. Can you recommend these solely for listening to music? You answered the most important question; how does the music sound. But what it actually means in practice? What I mean is that when your ears are open to everything, how does that "everything" interact with the music? Does one drown out the other? Does it depend on the volume of either the headphones or outside sounds? How the volume affect these, especially the frequency response and how loud these even go? I hope to get a bit more in-depth analysis from these on that front! I think you'd be the first qualified sound engineer to ever having done that, if you will.
To answer that question as simply as possible, it is like any other frequency masking situation. If you were to have a lot of midrange in your envious around you, the songs midrange will be less easy to hear clearly. Other than that, the outside world doesn’t interact with the sound at all from what I can hear!
8:55 I know you did that as a joke with the three sunglasses, but as someone with near-sightedness who puts sunglasses over his normal glasses, I appreciate the demonstration :D
I never could have imagined that b roll shot would actually be helpful! Have you tried prescription sunglass lenses? I know they can be expensive and a pain to fit!
@@inthemix I had sunglasses with extra lenses years ago, but my eyes still got worse after that, so I live comfortably with glasses-stacking now :b Don't want to pay for extra sunglasses again.
@@MartinRennerthat sounds a lot more cost effective. Makes sense!
@@inthemix Leaves more money for sound libraries.
One of the things I most want with FLKey49 is to remap the sliders and dials to control VST parameters instead so I can pretend I'm using a Juno for example. Is that possible?
Why do you wear a helmet when you’re biking but not when you’re hiking?
I'm writing this for anyone who thinks helmets are not necessary as I can't tell if your comment it a joke... When I hike, I will at most have a 5-6ft fall from my head to the ground. The speed of my fall can easily be handled by my arms and it's unlikely to actually damage my head. Imagine falling from vertical into a plank position, you can prevent yourself from slamming into the ground. You're much more likely to twist an ankle or pull a muscle when hiking. Head injuries are more rare. On a road bike, a fall at almost any speed can be fatal or life changing. While I average around 20-25 kmph, it's common to exceed 50 or 60 kmph at times and a head on collision at this speed without a helmet is almost impossible to survive. Imagine a brick being thrown at your head at 60 kmph...or imagine falling from a 2/3 storey building and trying to stop your fall with your arms....it's horrying to crash at speed on a bike and I apologise for creating this image. I have unfortunately been in a horrible cycling crash once in my life (no fault of my own) and my helmet likely saved my life, or at least my quality of life. The helmet shattered, cracked and crushed to absorb a huge amount of energy that otherwise would have gone directly into my skull and brain. I had a serious concussion but thankfully walked away. The helmet also absorbs rotational forces as well as direct impacts, which also helps protect the brain. Bike helmets are awesome, I care about you and hope you use one!
For anyone who needs more convincing how awesome helmets are in general: Search for the video "I love helmets"
@@MartinRennerI pretty much experienced something similar a few weeks after watching that video while snowboarding. Helmets are awesome!
Helmet for hiking? First time I hear about this and I really do hope you are joking 😅
@@strixcz You joke, but a small rock from twenty meters above is enough to end your music career. Along with the whole "living" thing.
Can you EQ them to get the bass on par with other headphones?
EQ helps but unfortunately the lower frequency vibrations can never have enough energy to create the same fullness as regular headphones without excessive vibration against the face (in my experience). I did think that EQ improved them though. I think everyone should eq any headphones or speakers to suit them!

love - dope - love
i suffer the same problem as you did, even got 'swimmers ear' last summer because I sweat so much, this is perfect. I'd heard of them but never tried them as I was worried they were a gimmick.
That’s rough, I hope the ear is better now? Bone conduction definitely sounds different but it leaves the ears feeling so fresh.

Will you recommend beyerdynamic dt 770 80 ohm version or the audio technica m50x??
Nice to see a sound engineer making a review of these. I’ve been curious of the sound quality and if they would work when you record vocals in the studio. (To minimise bleed thru from monitors or ordinary headphones.)
Thanks! I don’t think these could be used for vocal recording as the Bluetooth latency might be too high.
@@inthemixAh, I didn’t think of that. 😁
Hello. You say that a 2-way speaker + 2 subwoofers is better than a 3-way speaker. Isn't it the same, just that the subwoofers are not part of the same boxes? Or what is the beneficial difference? On the contrary, I would say that a more natural sound must sound from 3 bands because all the speakers are tuned to each other, while the subwoofers are not tuned due to the 2 bands, unless I buy a set.
